Sherwood Campus

Engaging people in the process of knowing Jesus Christ.

Life-Change Through Baptism

2020 saw the growth of the Journey Sherwood campus in many ways. No greater impact than having the opportunity to Baptize lives in the name of our Lord and Savior. Sherwood saw life-change through baptism in 2020.

Sherwood Campus in 2020

Dale Wells was baptized on Dec. 13 2020. Dale came to the Sherwood campus with tears of joy in his eyes for the opportunity to make a public expression of his love of Christ and the change that Jesus had already done on the inside of him. Dale says, “Rejoiced, Reborn, and blessed is how I would describe that day.” “Sharing that day with my wife and hearing her rejoice is a moment that I will never forget”.

Journey Sherwood also so impact in the community as well. Mr. Larry Dayton lives in the Sherwood community and takes care of his grandchildren. Mr. Larry says, “ Pastor Keith, I will never ever be able to repay the church for how they have impacted my home and my grandchildren.  Do you know how awesome it is to hear your grandchildren wake up on Sunday morning and literally fight to get into the bathroom because they don’t want to be late for church. Journey has changed my children and my home. I desire to give back. I can not attend church at this moment because of a pre-existing illness, but I want to do something.” Mr Larry and his grandsons work on beautifying the campus every Sunday morning. Mr. Larry’s’ grandchildren have been instrumental in helping us set up and serving in our “Care Center”. We praise the Lord for Mr Larry and his family.

JourneyLand Sherwood

Kids Ministry in 2020

Sherwood saw impactful events in 2020, one of which being Treat Thy Neighbor.  This event brought the community onto the campus to have fun and fellowship.  We were able to love on our neighbors, play games and ensure a safe environment for everyone to bring their children.  We had upwards of 14 trunks participate and near 300 people, counting our volunteers, step foot on our campus that evening.  We looking forward to making this an annual event.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.~1 Peter 4:10

"The opportunity to serve at Journeyland Sherwood has blessed me immensely. As a parent of three girls, hearing about the Biblical lessons taught in Journeyland from the mouths of my kids is the greatest feeling. Knowing how much the volunteers give to the kids made me want to be a part of the team. I love to smile, make others feel welcome, and and share the love of Christ. So why not serve and share the gifts God has given me. Serving has allowed me to establish friendships with other volunteers. It’s fun to see the kids excited about coming to Journeyland, eager to worship and learn about the Savior. God is doing a great thing at Journey Sherwood and it’s a joy to witness it.”

Turner Davis (JL kids Volunteer)

"My decision to join Journey Sherwood stemmed from my desire to have a closer knit church community and to have more opportunities to serve. There are so many opportunities for campus outreach and to positively impact the surrounding community, and I feel that serving in JourneyLand is one small way I can actively engage with my church family and show love to others in the process."
